A second story addition and major interior remodel resulted in a transitional contemporary home which opened up wonderful views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains to the west.
The roof of this modest single story brick ranch style home was removed to create a full second floor consisting of a master suite with view deck and 2 bedrooms. The two story volume containing the entry and new stair become a focal point for the home and organized the main floor into more distinct and functional living, dining and kitchen areas. The original 2 bedrooms on the main floor were remodeled into a guest bedroom and open family room connected to the kitchen.
