Perched high above Lake Washington, this steep slope site provides sweeping views of the Lake and Cascade Range, but also presented challenges in the design of this 3 level home. A private driveway easement on the top of the site provided the only vehicle access and also became the chosen front entry to the home in lieu of a 30' climb from the street. The L-shaped plan creates a private auto court and entry terrace. The open layout of the main floor living spaces capitalizes on the views and allows each of the spaces to spill out onto a large terrace, the home's “rear yard” perched 30' above the street below.
