This two-level houseboat, built in the early 1970's, is surrounded by sprawling lake and city views. The original home was very enclosed and did not take advantage of the views and water access. The objective was to create an intimate space with an expansive feel. The homes top level was transformed into an open space containing the kitchen, living and dining areas. The lower level originally containing three small bedrooms and one bathroom, was reconfigured into a large master suite and a guest suite. The dark heavy detailing which characterized the original home was replaced by lighter materials and clean simple lines.
